Warning Signs

Test

Our technicians can perform a quick test on your component to determine if it's time to get a new one or not. By using a specialized measuring device known as a multimeter, we can measure the current flow of electricity in your battery. If it’s below 12.6V, then we’ll try charging it up. However, in the event that it still can’t sustain any power, you’ll want to get a new component. While most batteries last three to five years, you should check your Owner’s Manual for model-specific information.
Inspection
The power supply in your car’s battery is not always to blame for its problems. The physical condition plays a large role as well, so have us perform an in-depth inspection when you drop by our location. Looking at the terminals for corrosion buildup is the first step, but we’ll also check it for swollen sidewalls. This can lead to dangerous acid leaks, which should be addressed immediately. In order to ensure that the lights aren’t draining energy after your trip down Highway 10 is concluded, we can also inspect the wires and other electrical components.
